Farfesa Mohammad-Faguji Ishiyaku, Babban Darakta na Cibiyar Binciken Aikin Noma (IAR) na Jami’ar Ahmadu Bello (ABU) Zariya, ya yi kira da a ci gaba da amfani da tsirrai domin ci gaban kasa, ciki har da samar da abinci.
Ishiyaku ya yi wannan roko ne a wajen bude taron shekara-shekara na shekara-shekara karo na 29 da babban taron kungiyar Botanical Society of Nigeria (BOSON), a Zariya ranar Alhamis.
Ya ce karbo da kuma shigar da al’adar kula da flora yadda ya kamata zai tabbatar da kiyaye da dadewa na shuke-shuken furannin kasar nan ga al’umma masu zuwa.
A cewarsa, albarkatun kwayoyin halittar shuka na da matukar muhimmanci wajen karfafa aikin noma, tabbatar da samar da abinci da kuma saukaka daidaita yanayin yanayin muhalli.
Masanin ya ce albarkatun kwayoyin halittar shuka suma sune muhimman abubuwan inganta amfanin gona da kiwo na sabbin irin shuka.
A cewarsa, albarkatun halittun shuka sun hada da hatsi, albarkatun mai, fiber, ‘ya’yan itatuwa, kayan lambu, tsire-tsire masu tsire-tsire da wadanda ba na itace ba.
Don haka ya bukaci masu ruwa da tsaki da su taka rawar gani wajen bayar da shawarwarin ci gaba da amfani da amfanin shuka don ci gaban kasa.
Taron na kwanaki uku yana da taken: ‘ Tsire-tsire da Abubuwan da za su iya Yi wajen Yakar Kalubalen Duniya na Zamani.’
